Artist delivers while venue disappoints
The Dropkicks were amazing as they always are but it was disappointing that there was no indication that their lead singer (Al Barr) would not be in attendance because of an ill family member.
As good as they were, the venue was as bad. The Backyard at Revolution is not setup to hold this many people, over sold the VIP area, and viewing is difficult at best because of the layout of the space. The individuals that worked there did an amazing job trying to keep things together but they can only do so much. The space isn’t their fault.
I have seen many, many shows, including the Dropkicks, but at this point, it obvious that they’ve outgrown this venue. I only hope that their next show in South Florida is at a larger venue. The Fillmore on Miami Beach perhaps?
